Emergency Order of Protection

If you or your child have been abused or battered, do not hesitate to take action! We can ask the court for an Order of Protection for you or your child and as long as the court finds there is a danger of abuse, the judge may provide the necessary protection. The Order of Protection is only for a limited time though. However, if you proceed with filing for divorce, it can be merged with a judgment for dissolution of the marriage.
